It has been six weeks since I moved back to Florida. (Say Hallelujah). Apparently, we, here in the Sunshine State, along with all of the Midwest, have been having unusually HOT weather. Hotter than any time since the Dust Bowl. And so on and so forth. All I know is, the sun room added on to my newly purchased 1969 Ritz Craft was just about the right temperature to be a turkey roaster. So, after consulting with the people who know about these things here in the park (the guy in charge of maintenance, Russ), I called ASC and now have a fabulous new roof-over. Over both the coach and the sunroom. And, dare I say it, it feels good in here! Of course, this also involved tearing out the old gas furnace and installing a completely new air conditioning system with a heat strip. Dear me--I think I just more than doubled the cost of my little retirement coach.
So, how does one justify such an unseemly expense??
The only thing I can think of is: I like living in paradise. There you have it. More later.
